An embroidery machine has a basic embroidery designs and fonts that you can use and transfer to your cloth. Your machine needs to have a cable, memory card or flash drive port to be able to transfer your downloaded design onto the embroidery machine, and the format of the design needs to be compatible to the embroidery machine for the machine to read it. Simply downloading your chosen design or logo from the internet cannot be automatically stitched especially if they are not in a format that the machine can read. On the brighter side, a lot of websites that contains embroidery designs are mostly formatted and is compatible to most embroidery machines.
For custom designs that are not from machine embroidery sites, you may have to use a software to digitize them which is costly at $500. Still, some manual intervention is required for digitizing your chosen picture or logo.
